Area-Based Development in Eastern Sudan

Kassala Pilot

This interactive platform is a co-created, spatial Decision Support System (DSS) designed to support risk-informed, area-based development (ABD) planning in Eastern Sudan. Built on advanced GIS and web mapping technologies, it integrates environmental, socio-economic, and hazard data into a single, evidence-based platform.

By translating complex data into intuitive maps and analytics, it helps users identify vulnerabilities, prioritize interventions, and design targeted strategies. Tailored for local authorities, development partners, and humanitarian actors, the platform supports context-sensitive, inclusive, and climate-resilient planning, bridging the gap between data and action.
