Global landslide susceptibility model for precipitation-triggered landslides under the existing climate, developed by the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI; Nadim et al., 2006, 2013; Jaedicke et al., 2013) and distributed through the Global Infrastructure Resilience Index (GIRI) initiative of the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI). The model classifies terrain into 5 susceptibility classes by combining slope, vegetation, lithology and antecedent-rainfall information (from the W5E5 dataset, 1979-2016) at a native global resolution of 3 arc-seconds (~90 m at the equator). This file is the Lao PDR extract, clipped from the global mosaic.
To provide precipitation-triggered landslide susceptibility as a hazard-screening input for GeoCLEAR village development planning.
